When Ana and Rui told me they wanted to include their dog in their engagement session, I knew we were going to have something truly special. They’re a relaxed, fun-loving couple with the kind of connection that’s easy to photograph — authentic, joyful, and full of love.
We met at Praia da Adraga, one of the most breathtaking beaches on the Portuguese coast, located near Sintra. With dramatic cliffs, soft golden sand, and the sound of waves crashing in the background, it’s the perfect setting for a engagement session in Portugal.
The light that day was magical. The sun began to set gently over the Atlantic, casting a warm golden glow over everything. We wandered along the shore, barefoot and free, letting the moment unfold naturally. Their dog ran around us, splashing in the water and adding an extra layer of spontaneity and joy to the session.
As a wedding photographer in Portugal, I love capturing these genuine moments — the way a couple laughs together, moves together, and simply is together. This session felt like a little preview of their wedding day, which I’ll also have the joy of photographing soon.
